The Normandie

Simplicity with personality.

Collaboration at its finest.

CMM collaborated with N2 Architecture to build a waterfront home in Sea Bright, NJ, far enough by feel but close enough by car to the Atlantic Highlands ferry for easy, scenic service to New York City. We also worked alongside the interior design firm Bowerbird to bring a unique collection of textures and finishes to fruition.

No margin for error.

Building a 26-foot-wide home on a 40-foot lot required our team to work in close confines and be mindful of the neighbors throughout the construction. The lot’s previous use also required a variance, complicating the process of obtaining the necessary permits. The town held us to a tolerance of no more than a quarter inch for the pilings, which our engineering team helped achieve.

Every finish fulfills a vision. Every feature serves a purpose.

From the continuous rail along the stairs to the European oak floors and built-ins, the 3,500-square-foot home is designed with playful creativity and absolute attention to detail all around. Highlight-worthy features include living room and master bedroom fireplaces, invisible speakers in the dining room, heated floors in the master bathroom, an elevator, and an attic lift.

Drawn to water.

Building our name and reputation in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, we’ve become experts in constructing waterfront homes of all types and sizes. This home boasts a picturesque, almost water’s edge view of the Navesink River from inside and out.

Clean and simple, yet warm and inviting.

We know a custom home build is successful when the end result reflects the homeowners’ hearts. Working with this couple was an absolute pleasure, as was collaborating with N2, Bowerbird, and the many vendors and suppliers who helped make it possible.

See your dream home become a reality.
